1. BIKE COMPONENTS

Lightweight bike components are essential for cyclists to go faster and further. The frame, seat components (saddle, seatpost), pedals, braking sets, and accessories like cleats or helmets can benefit from the high strength and toughness of Pebax® and Rilsan® resins!

For electric bikes (e-bikes), our Rilsan® PA11 is ideal for motor components thanks to its excellent abrasion and impact resistance. Kynar® PVDF solutions are by far the reference when it comes to efficient lithium-ion battery technology.

BIOCOMPOSITE TECHNOLOGY

Our reinforced Rilsan® PA11 grades—available with glass or carbon fiber—are designed for injection molding. These highly filled grades deliver maximum strength and rigidity while maintaining mechanical integrity under varying temperatures and humidity. They also offer excellent surface quality and easy processing, making them an ideal choice for metal replacement.

In addition, compared to other polymers, productivity gains can be expected when choosing Rilsan® PA11 grades thanks to reduced cycle times and easier processing conditions.

These materials are particularly suited for parts like the saddle shell, pedals, brake systems, derailleur, or bottle holder.

Rilsan® PA11 provides much better mechanical and dimensional stability than traditional PA6 or PA6.6 polyamides,

FOCUS ON: SADDLE SHELLS

Saddles are an essential part of the construction of a bike, both for the comfort for the cyclists and their final overall performance. Rilsan® PA11 reinforced materials are particularly suited for the shell, as they allow significant weight savings compared to a metal construction, while maintaining maximum strength and fatigue resistance.

Glass fiber reinforced or carbon-infused grades are available.

2. CYCLING SHOES & CLEATS

Cycling shoes and cleats are key components to ensure good grip of the shoe to the pedal and optimal power transfer. Depending on your riding style (casual or professional), you may select cleats with different degrees of float to allow your feet to move around the pivot point at the center of the pedal.

Thanks to their excellent abrasion resistance, mechanical, and fatigue resistance, Rilsan® PA11 and Pebax® materials are the best choice for durable cleats and cycling shoe outsoles.
