Busbar by Injection & Extrusion

Arkema offers Rilsan® Polyamide 11 pellets to provide insulation to busbar. The coating can be obtained by injection molding/over molding or cross-head extrusion. The latter technology allows to coat long length of copper or aluminum, which are then cut and formed to the desired geometry. These grades are available in orange color stable after long time exposure at high temperature.

Extreme Dielectric Protection

Some electrical insulation applications have extreme requirements that standard insulation materials cannot endure. This can include exposure to extremely high temperatures in instances of thermal runaway, high voltage isolation requirements at low thicknesses, strong chemical resistance, and extreme durability. Arkema's Kepstan® PEKK is capable of handling these intense requirements, while also providing excellent adhesion to conductive metal components.
