The Agimid® Polyamide 12 products are first choice quality polymer compounds could be either custom-made or according to the stringent norms either for automotive or railways such as DIN 73378, SAE J844, GB 16897:2010 or EN45545-2. The Agimid® Polyamide 12, thanks to its mechanical properties along with the chemical, physical and high aging resistance. Agimid PA12 grades includes flame retardant, conductive, antistatic, reinforcement with glass fibers characteristics.

Agimid® Polyamide 12 properties in detail, compared to other grades in their field


Agimid® PA12 resins are exceptionally lightweight with a neat resin density <1.03 g/cm3. With many industries looking for ways to reduce weight in their designs, Agimid® polyamide 12 grades can provide long term durability and strength, making metal replacement even more possible.


Melting Point

Agimid® PA12 has a slightly low melting point. When comparing to other polymers here. This gives Agimid® PA12 an all round benefit in use for various injection moulders or extrudors. Extremely easy processing and handling is a widely acknowledged benefit of this material. 

Impact Resistance

Agimid® PA12 generally outperforms PA10.10, PA6 and PA6.6 when it comes to impact resistance. Polyamide 12 is especially tough at low temperatures. This incredible toughness can be attributed to Agimid® PA12's fine crystalline grid and spherolitical structure, as well as its molecular weight and polydispersity.


Agimid® PA12 is available in a range of flexibilities. This is made possible by the addition of plasticizers (to increase flexibility) and carbon or glass fiber/beads (to increase rigidity). Agimid® PA12 also maintains its properties after exposed to moisture, compared to short-chain polyamides like PA6 and PA66, which are very susceptible to losing performance over time.
