At JEC WORLD 2025, Arkema will unveil innovations addressing industrial and environmental transition challenges. A new solution for battery recycling and repair will be introduced, while an eco-designed vertical wind turbine blade, made with Elium® resins, will highlight advancements in the circular economy.
Arkema will also present Rilsan® Polyamide 11, a 100% bio-based solution for composites, along with UDX® tapes, which combine carbon fibers and bio-based thermoplastic polymers. Additionally, the HAICoPAS aerospace demonstrator will showcase the performance of next-generation thermoplastic composites, alongside polyimide films from PI Advanced Materials.
Revolutionizing disassembly in industry and mobility
This year, Bostik is unveiling Prep DB, a primer designed to tackle the challenges of vehicle repair and end-of-life recycling. Developed as part of an Open Innovation strategy, this thermal activation technology enables the bond to break, allowing components to be disassembled without damaging surrounding materials.
Pioneering circularity in composites
Twice nominated and winner in the JEC Awards Renewable Energy category with the Zebra project, Arkema’s Elium® resins are driving the circular economy by enabling composite recycling. As a JEC Innovation Awards finalist, Northern Light Composites will showcase an eco-designed vertical wind turbine blade made with Elium® resins at Arkema’s stand.
Taking this commitment further, Arkema will unveil an exclusive film highlighting the launch of the first industrial facilities for resin recycling. This breakthrough is made possible through strategic partnerships with Composite Recycling, Groupe Beneteau, Veolia, Owens Corning, and Chomarat, transforming composite recycling into an industrial and economically viable reality.
Pushing the boundaries of high performance and sustainability
Rilsan® Polyamide 11 is used in the production of 100% bio-based composites for transportation, aerospace, sports, and consumer goods. With an optimized melting point, Rilsan® Polyamide 11 can be easily processed with natural fibers such as flax, hemp, and bamboo without degradation. Both polyamide 11 and natural fibers are derived from renewable resources, making these composites more sustainable and recyclable compared to traditional materials.
Designed for applications in transportation, hydrogen storage, sports, and leisure, UDX® unidirectional carbon fiber tapes are impregnated with high-performance bio-based PA11 & PPA thermoplastic polymers. These tapes are then used to create technical fabrics for specific applications as well as carbon/polyamide compounds based on recycled materials. To showcase the potential of UDX® tapes, a high-pressure hydrogen tank and a bike frame manufactured using the innovative process developed by the startup Ollow will be on display.
Developping a technology demonstrator for next-generation aerospace composites
HAICoPAS is a technology demonstrator made from HexPly® thermoplastic composites, developed using Arkema’s Kepstan® PEKK resin and Hexcel’s HexTow® AS7 and IM7 carbon fibers. This next-generation material meets the stringent requirements of the aerospace industry, offering productivity gains and enhanced recyclability due to its thermoplastic nature. As part of this demonstrator, a new continuous and dynamic in situ welding (ISW) process has been co-developed by the Institut de Soudure and Arkema to meet the structural assembly needs of aerospace manufacturers.
HAICoPAS is a collaborative project involving Hexcel, Arkema, Ingecal, Coriolis, Pinette PEI, Institut de Soudure, and academic partners such as Arts et Métiers and LTEN. It was developed in close collaboration with an industrial advisory committee including Airbus, Safran, Daher, Hutchinson, and ATC.
Presenting PI Advanced materials' polyimide films
PI Advanced Materials, an Arkema affiliate, develops polyimide films used in smart devices, electric vehicles, semiconductors, aerospace, and display technologies. These films offer exceptional resistance to extreme temperatures, ensuring dimensional stability, excellent electrical properties, and high flexibility.

Driving innovation through customer partnerships
As part of this initiative, Arkema’s customers and partners will present concrete solutions for a circular economy in composites at the "Planets Innovation" space during JEC WORLD 2025. Be-Spline, a Canadian manufacturer of modular BMX tracks made from Elium® composites, will showcase track elements designed for X-Track. Meanwhile, CIDER, a collaborative project with European partners, will unveil a door panel made from recycled Elium® composite.
