Plenum Piping
Arkema offers a variety of fluoropolymer grades under the names Kynar® and Kynar Flex® that are the only thermoplastics able to meet the ASTM E84 and UL 723 standards for flame spread and smoke generation in building and construction materials used in the plenum.
Plenum-rated Kynar® PVDF resins can be used as extruded piping for corrosive waste drainage applications. Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 piping and fittings manufactured out of Kynar® PVDF resins can be found in sizes from 1” to 12”.
Benefits:
- Only thermoplastics to pass ASTM E84 and UL 723
- Temperature rating up to 150 °C continuous
